Please be informed that the continuity of runs of ferries may be paused or the number of them may be increased depending on traffic. On the main page of our website, in the "Next ferry departure" section, you will find information on whether the ferries are currently running according to the published timetable or whether they are running continuously between the two coasts. We reserve the right to change timetables. BAHART shall not be liable for cancelled ferry services, their delays or missed connections to rail and bus services due to changed weather conditions and water levels, and shall not provide any compensation.
All types of tickets can be purchased at the BAHART ticket offices in the ferry ports (Szántódrév, Tihanyrév), where the journey must begin within 1 hour of the ticket purchase. Ferry tickets can only be purchased for pedestrians and bicycles via our online ticketing platform. Ferry tickets purchased online can be used for any ferry service within the validity period, regardless of the departure date selected.
By purchasing a ticket, the passenger accepts the detailed travel conditions set out in the RÉV Terms and Conditions, which can be downloaded in the attachments section, and in the case of online ticket purchase, the related General Terms and Conditions.
For more information on fares and discounts on scheduled ferry services, please refer to the current RÉV Fares document in the Attachments section. The possibility of using discounted tickets for ferry transport and the scope of beneficiaries are regulated by Government Decrees 85/2007 (IV.25) and 120/2012 (VI.26). We offer discounts to our passengers on the basis of these regulations. Eligibility for discounted tickets must be verified at the time of purchase at the ticket office / before boarding the boat. In the event of unauthorized use of the discount, the difference must be paid at the port ticket office.
Please note that certain discounts and payment methods are not available on the online ticketing platform!
On-site checkout payment methods:
- cash (HUF, EUR)
- credit or debit card
When purchasing tickets on-site, no more than two payment methods can be used at the same time, one of which must be of cash type (cash or credit card). Unused tickets purchased at the port ticket office can be redeemed at the ticket office within the validity period of the ticket before the start of the journey, subject to a 10% handling fee. We reserve the right to change prices!
Payment method for online purchases:
- SimplePay: using a MasterCard / Maestro / Visa / American Express card issued by any bank
Unused tickets purchased on ticket.bahart.hu can be redeemed within the time limit set in the General Terms and Conditions for online ticket purchases, subject to a 10% handling fee. We reserve the right to change prices!
